Premere Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) are a viable alternative to conventional wood framing, giving builders and homeowners a variety of advantages never before possible. Simply put, concrete walls are formed with lightweight polystyrene expanded or extruded foam. Foam panels and rails are connected with cross ties which are stacked to form parallel walls. With rebar located inside, concrete is then poured into the cavity. The foam remains in place to provide insulation on both sides.
